Here are some additional pictures of our Science experiment. We were conducting a fair test, helping Rudolph discover which bells would be loudest for his collar!

Christmas Science!

This afternoon we were learning to conduct a fair test!

Poor Rudolph lost his collar bells. We were investigating which bells would be the loudest for Rudolph to wear so children could hear him coming!

First, we experimented with different bells. Then, we made a prediction on which bell we thought would be the loudest.

We went out onto the playground and conducted our experiment. It's really important to make it fair, we can only change one thing and we chose to change the bells! That meant we had to keep the person ringing the bell, listening to the bell and the distance between the ringer and the listener, as well as the place the same! (That was hard work!)

In conclusion the desk bell was the loudest! We both predicted this, so our prediction was correct!

We have learnt how to predict, conduct and conclude a fair test and at the same time having lots of fun!

Christmas adverts!

In literacy we have been writing the scripts for Christmas adverts. We have learnt how to write a script, and how to add stage directions!

Things you need to include in a script:
*Stage directions
*A colon after the character name (It means they're about to speak!)

*New speaker new line

We really enjoyed writing our scripts and today we acted them out in front of the rest of the class, I was a little nervous, but it went really well!

Carol Singing

Yesterday afternoon 8 of us went carol singing around the village of Great Gaddesden. We picked up our hats and reindeer antlers and went off to spread some Christmas cheer!

We would like to thank everyone who donated money to hear us sing!

Christmas time!

This morning we were writing our play scripts ready to perform them tomorrow! Watch this space for pictures!

This afternoon we decorated our class Christmas tree and it looks absolutely amazing! We've got twinkling lights, shiny baubles and beautiful beads and tinsel on our tree. We also started to make some extra special Christmas treats to take home! (no peeking until Christmas!)

Welcome to our new blog!

Welcome to our new class blog! Today in Literacy we have been planning our own script for an advert! We worked together to write our lines and later on this week we will write our script in full and then perform our adverts to the rest of the class! Well done to Hattie who was our secret student today! She demonstrated excellent behaviour and worked extremely hard in her lessons!
