Year 3 – 4 Easter Haiku’s

Rough hands seized Jesus
Crown of thorns placed on his head
Carrying a cross

Weary, tired and sad
Veronica wipes his face
Everyone watching

Crowned King of the Jews
Jesus crucified slowly
Nails through his cold hands

In the tomb post death
Resurrection of Jesus
This is Holy week

By Meadow

Thursday was the day
They all had the last supper
Jesus said goodbye

Jesus prayed on the day
But then he got arrested
Nailed to a cross

He was left to die
He refused to drink the wine
They made fun of him

Taken off the cross
Soldiers put him in a tomb
He rose from the dead

By Finley

Jesus helped the world
He raised people from the dead
The leaders were so angry

To the cross he went
People visited all day
He was crucified

Can you believe it?
He was nailed to the cross
He dies on the cross

King of Israel
Really was the son of God
Jesus is alive

To support their learning about non-chronological reports Year 3- 4 visited the exciting world of Harry Potter to see some of the creatures and beasts.

We spent the day exploring the magical set in Leavesden learning how to cast a spell as well as how some of the creatures and were  made.

Below are just a few of the images taken on the day. We were also celebrating Red nose day so our outfits were an interesting mixture of red and our uniform.

Year 3 -4 have been learning how to divide.

To help us understand how to do this we used chocolate raisins.

The children had to divide their raisins into different groups and share them equally.

Can you work out the number sentences from the pictures below?

The first image has 40 raisins divided into two groups.
