Year 3-4 had an exciting trip to Milton Keynes theatre to see the first production of Gangsta Granny. Here is what they thought about it.

“My favourite part in Gangsta Granny was when Bens parents came down and watched the show,” Fenella exclaimed.

Andrew said, “The acting was superb.”

Charlie stated, “Gangsta Granny was great fun because the cat was waving at the audience.”

“My favourite part was when the cat waved because it was funny. I liked the Queen’s speech and dance. Also, when the Queen let Granny and Ben go. As well as that I loved how the scene was set and I liked it when the Queen encouraged everyone to join in with the dancing.”

Simeon stated, “Gangsta Granny was fun because Ben’s mum and dad sat behind us. Also it was funny when the cat was waving and dancing.”

Caden said, “Gangsta Granny is funny and sad because the Granny dies but the cat waving at us and the dancing made me laugh.”

Owen said, “The funniest part was Granny squeaking!”

Harvey said, “It was funny because at the end the cat was waving and dancing which made me laugh, but also sad when Granny dies.”

Alex said, “Gangsta Granny was sad because the Granny dies, I wasn’t expecting it.”

Jak said, “Gangsta Granny was great fun because the characters danced even Granny, Ben and the Queen.”

Jayden stated, “He liked it when the set and scenery changed from Granny’s kitchen to a bed in hospital. It was clever.”

Jack said, “Gangsta Granny was funny because at the end the cat Ben received waved at us. Also, Ben’s dance was funny because it so bad.”

Aidan stated, “When Flavio Flavioli got kissed by Ben’s mum it was very funny!”

My favourite part of Gangsta Granny was when Flavio Flavioli spoke to people in the audience,” Eleanor said.

Finley cried, “It was hilarious when Ben tried on different dancing outfits, such as a tree!”

In Maths this week Year 3-4 went shopping to learn how to subtract. We used the conservatory to set up a shop.

The children chose items from the shop and bought them with £1, £2, £5 and £10. They then checked their calculations by using money finding the correct change.

Year 3-4 celebrated a Roman Day. The children looked very smart in their costumes

Our first activity was to make a laurel wreath and know why the Romans wore them.
We then made some honey cakes and created mosaics.

Finally, we finished the day celebrating with a feast. We had treats such as figs, honey coated dormice (chicken coated honey), grapes and our homemade honey cakes.
Sonny was chosen as our emperor. He decided when we could eat or not.
A great fun day!
